A Fall Engagement Session at Kensington Metro Park

Golden leaves, cozy laughs, and a love story in full color

There’s something so special about fall in Michigan—and Kensington Metro Park is one of the best spots to soak in all those gorgeous colors. Tricia and Nehemiah’s engagement session took full advantage of the crisp air, golden light, and the stunning backdrop of changing leaves. It felt like the perfect blend of cozy and epic, and these two absolutely nailed it.

Their session was a beautiful mix of candid, lifestyle moments and classic portraiture—timeless photos that they’ll be able to look back on for years to come. I loved capturing the way they laughed together, held each other close, and just genuinely had fun. We even got some truly epic shots that will make perfect save the dates for their September 2025 wedding!

One of my favorite parts of any engagement session is just getting to know my couples better. It’s more than just checking off a box on your wedding planning list—it’s an opportunity to connect, to get comfortable in front of the camera, and to feel like yourselves. Engagement photos are also incredibly versatile. Whether you use them for save the dates, wedding décor, or to hang on the walls of your home, they’re a sweet reminder of this chapter in your love story.

All of my wedding photography packages include a 60-minute engagement session, because I truly believe in the value of this time together before the big day. Not planning a wedding with me but still want engagement photos? You can absolutely book a standalone session—engagement sessions are available for $400 and include one location and a full hour of coverage.

Tricia and Nehemiah, thank you for such a fun afternoon and for trusting me to capture this exciting season. I already can’t wait for your big day next fall!
