Danielle & Barret’s wedding day at Legacy Barn in North Branch was a true celebration of love, laughter, and family—and I’m still smiling about it days later. This wedding had everything I love: a beautiful couple, a stunning new venue, and a whole lot of heart.
Let’s talk about Legacy Barn for a second—because wow. As a photographer, walking into this bright, airy space with tall ceilings and a fresh, modern feel was such a treat. The bridal suite was especially dreamy, filled with soft natural light that made for the most beautiful getting-ready moments. This space is brand new, but it already feels like a top-tier Michigan wedding venue, and I would absolutely love to work there again.
The outdoor ceremony space was equally breathtaking—surrounded by peaceful scenery and perfect light. It provided a gorgeous backdrop for Danielle & Barret to exchange their vows in front of their closest family and friends.
One of my favorite parts of the day was how many sweet “first look” moments Danielle planned. She shared emotional first looks with her bridesmaids, in-laws (which had everyone tearing up), her dad, and of course, Barret. Each one was so genuine and full of emotion—it was a privilege to witness and capture them all.
The flow of the day was perfect thanks to how spacious and versatile Legacy Barn is. Guests could enjoy both the beautiful indoor space and the outdoor grounds. The couple had yard games set up for everyone to enjoy and even had a cozy fire pit area for guests to relax and chat in the evening. It created such a fun, laid-back atmosphere while still feeling elegant and intentional.
Once the party moved inside, the dance floor stayed packed all night long. One detail I especially loved: the custom bride and groom sunglasses that made their way around the room. They were such a fun touch and made for some hilarious and joyful photos—definitely a trend I hope sticks around!
