Intimate St. Clair Shores waterfront wedding aboard the Infinity Yacht with a sunset cruise under the Ambassador Bridge
As a St. Clair Shores wedding photographer, there are some days that remind me exactly why I love what I do. Elaine and Thomas’s July wedding aboard the Infinity Yacht was one of them. From our very first conversation, I knew these two were going to be a dream to photograph. They are warm, welcoming, and so photogenic that every frame felt like it belonged in a magazine.
Their day began with a short, heartfelt ceremony at the marina, surrounded by family, close friends, and the sparkling water of Lake St. Clair. Without a wedding party, we had the rare gift of time. We were able to wander, laugh, and create portraits that truly reflected their connection. We explored the marina, posed in front of the yacht, and found creative angles on deck that highlighted the Infinity Yacht’s sleek details and gorgeous views.
One of my favorite parts of photographing an Infinity Yacht wedding is the variety of backdrops. Between the dockside marina views, the crisp white railings, the soft glow of the reception space, and the open-air decks that are perfect for golden hour portraits, it is impossible to run out of inspiration. The weather was perfection with just enough breeze to keep everyone comfortable. As the sun dipped lower, we cruised under the Ambassador Bridge for one of the most breathtaking first dances I have ever seen. The sky turned shades of gold and pink, the lights of the city began to twinkle, and Elaine and Thomas swayed together as the waves gently rocked the yacht. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt both intimate and grand at the same time.
Elaine and Thomas’s wedding proved that you do not need a massive production to create something unforgettable. All you need is love, great company, a beautiful setting, and a photographer who knows how to take advantage of every creative opportunity the Infinity Yacht has to offer.
