These are my tried and true Metro Detroit photography locations that I LOVE! All of these locations would be great any session any season.
Kensington Metro Park in Milford, Michigan.
Kensington has so many gorgeous spots so it’s no wonder this is my number one location I suggest for my clients. My favorite spot to photograph in the park is this field. It is especially gorgeous during sunset. It looks great in every season and it is just a timeless and classic spot for your portrait session.
Kensington Farm is my go to location if you need a morning or an early afternoon time slot. It offers great shade and tons of texture and cool spots for portraits.
Kensington Nature Center has a gorgeous boardwalk, metal bridge, and a wooden staircase. I really love using this location at any time of the day. It photographs really well in the morning and again at sunset.
Indian Springs Metro Park in White Lake, Michigan
Another metro park that just knocks it out of the park. This location is perfect for sunset. I love the texture of the stone wall and the big gorgeous tree. There are trails, a small bridge, and even a pretty pond.
Central Park Milford, Michigan
This is a great small park for families and seniors. There’s great parking and so many pretty spots to add a variety to your session. My favorites are the wooden bridge and the creek. The creek is great for small children because the water is super shallow. The kids just love the stepping stones!
Nichols Arboretum Ann Arbor, Michigan
If you love flowers and greenery this is the spot for you. Tons of trails, gorgeous greenery, and in the late spring there is a peony garden. I would suggest this location for a morning or early afternoon session time. Parking isn’t super ideal so give yourself ample time to find a spot.
