Allison and Mason’s wedding was nothing short of unforgettable! Their New Year’s Eve celebration at Waterview Loft in downtown Detroit was the perfect way to ring in the new year—with love, laughter, and an epic dance party.

The day began at the Detroit Marriott in the GM Renaissance Center, where the couple and their wedding party got ready with excitement in the air. Even though the weather had other plans—rain drizzled throughout the day—Allison and Mason embraced every moment with grace and joy. Instead of letting a little rain dampen their spirits, they powered through and made the most of Detroit’s stunning backdrops.

One of the most emotional moments of the day was their private vow exchange on the roof of the Marriott. With the Detroit skyline stretching behind them, they shared heartfelt promises in an intimate setting away from the hustle of the day. It was such a beautiful, raw moment—one that I highly recommend for couples who want to have that deeply personal exchange while still celebrating the entire day together.

For their portraits, we explored some of Detroit’s most iconic locations, including the historic Michigan Central Station. When the rain and cold became too much, we made a stop at the Fisher Building, using its grand indoor architecture to stay warm while still capturing timeless Detroit photos.

One of the sweetest moments of the day? Their adorable dog made a grand entrance down the aisle during the ceremony! With Detroit’s skyline as their backdrop, Allison and Mason’s ceremony was filled with love and personal touches.

As the evening unfolded, the energy only built. The reception at Waterview Loft was an absolute party, thanks to an incredible DJ who kept the dance floor packed all night long. Allison made sure she was ready to dance the night away—switching into a second outfit featuring fun sneakers so she could fully enjoy the celebration. And what’s a New Year’s Eve wedding without a grand countdown? As the clock struck midnight, guests raised their glasses for a champagne toast and celebrated under a cascade of sparklers on the dance floor.

Allison and Mason’s wedding wasn’t just about celebrating their love—it was a night filled with unforgettable moments, laughter, and pure joy. It was the perfect way to close out one year and begin the next as newlyweds.
