There are some wedding days that just feel extra special from the moment you arrive, and Rachel and Daniel’s wedding at The Stables in Whitehouse, Ohio, was definitely one of those days.
The Stables is such a gorgeous venue, and it was the perfect setting for their summer wedding. Everywhere you looked there were beautiful rustic touches, from the barn itself to the little details throughout the day. The bridal getting-ready suite was spacious and beautiful, giving Rachel and her girls plenty of room to relax, get ready, and enjoy the morning together. And the hydrangeas. So. Many. Gorgeous. Hydrangeas. They were everywhere and made the prettiest addition to an already beautiful venue.
Of course, the one thing we were all watching closely was the weather. The forecast had us nervous all week, and we spent plenty of time talking through backup plans for the ceremony and portraits in case the rain decided to show up. But somehow, the day ended up being absolutely perfect. The rain stayed away, and even better, the sun made an appearance just when we needed it. It came out during the ceremony and stuck around for portraits, giving us some of the most beautiful light of the day.
Rachel and Daniel also did such a wonderful job making their wedding day feel personal and completely like them. There were so many little touches throughout the day that made it feel even more meaningful. The signed volleyball and peppering before the reception was such a fun detail.
And then there was the reception.
That dance floor was PACKED all night long. Everyone was out there having the best time, and I don’t think I stopped smiling behind my camera. There were so many laughs, huge smiles, people dancing like nobody was watching, and yes, even a little limbo! Those are the moments I love so much about wedding days. Not just the pretty details or perfectly posed photos, but seeing the people you love most completely let loose and celebrate together.
Rachel and Daniel, you truly have the sweetest family and friends, and it was so obvious throughout the entire day how loved you both are. Every person who was there helped make the day what it was, and all of the vendors worked together so seamlessly to make everything go off flawlessly.
Most of all, I am just so grateful that I got to be there to photograph it all.
Rachel and Daniel, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such an important day for you. You were both an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end, and I am so thankful our paths crossed. Your wedding was beautiful, fun, full of personality, and surrounded by so much love. I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple to spend the day with.
