Shannon and Alex | A Summer Birmingham Community House Wedding

Shannon and Alex’s wedding at The Birmingham Community House was an absolute dream to photograph. A few years ago, I had the honor of photographing their friends Ashley and Ross’s wedding, so getting to capture another celebration within this amazing friend group was truly special. It was also a wonderful chance to catch up with some favorite clients and make new friends along the way.

The day was filled with elegant and timeless details that made every moment feel classic and meaningful. Their private first look was emotional and beautiful, and their ceremony was full of heartfelt moments that had me definitely ugly crying along with them. I love a groom who is not afraid to show his emotions, and Alex’s joy and love for Shannon was impossible to miss.

The reception was lively and fun, with a packed dance floor that kept guests young and old celebrating all night long. Every detail, from the decor to the flowers, was thoughtfully curated and brought the couple’s vision to life. It was such a joy to witness and capture the laughter, happy tears, and pure love that surrounded them.

Over the last several months, I have loved getting to know Shannon and Alex, and it truly feels like I’ve made new friends. They were so easygoing, fun, and open during their engagement photography session, which made photographing their wedding feel effortless.
