Baby Emma came in for a newborn mini session at my Howell studio, and oh my goodness, she was a dream. Mom chose soft pinks and purples which added just the right amount of girly charm without feeling over the top. The session was short and sweet. It took less than 90 minutes, but we still managed a ton of variety. We moved from cozy swaddles to tiny posed shots that highlight every delicate detail.
One of my favorite parts of being a Howell newborn photographer is getting to see familiar faces. It is always the biggest compliment when families return to have me capture the next chapter in their lives. After photographing their fall family mini session at their new home, it was such a joy to welcome them into the studio to meet the newest member of the crew. Seeing families grow and being trusted to document these major life changes is honestly the best part of this job.
Sessions like Emma’s remind me why I love this business. I am not just photographing a baby. I am documenting a family milestone and capturing those tiny hands, sleepy yawns, and the quiet joy between parents and their new little person. Every session is unique and getting to be a part of this family’s journey from their new home to their new baby is such a gift.
