Colorful Flint Wedding at First Presbyterian Church & Flint Farmers Market | Tricia & Nehemiah

Some couples just feel like color, and Tricia and Nehemiah have felt that way from the very beginning. From the moment we met for their engagement session at Kensington Metropark in the fall of 2024, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. The rich fall tones, the way they leaned into bold color, and how effortlessly they connected made my colorful heart so, so happy. I should have known then that they were going to absolutely knock it out of the park on their wedding day.

Tricia and Nehemiah chose First Presbyterian Church in Flint for both getting ready and their ceremony, and it could not have been a better choice. The church offered so many beautiful, light-filled spaces that were perfect for getting ready photos and their first look. There is something really special about being able to slow down and share that moment together in a private place before the day fully unfolds.

As guests arrived, the church quickly filled with friends and family, all there to celebrate these two and witness them say I do. The ceremony was heartfelt, emotional, and full of so much love. You could truly feel how supported and celebrated Tricia and Nehemiah are by the people around them.

After the ceremony, we headed into downtown Flint for wedding party and bride and groom portraits, and wow did Flint deliver. We found some incredible locations that perfectly matched Tricia and Nehemiah’s style. Downtown Flint has so much character, and it was the perfect backdrop for a Michigan wedding that felt both classic and modern.

Between the architecture, textures, and unexpected pops of color, everything tied together beautifully. We really could not have asked for a better day.

The Flint Farmers Market was the perfect reception venue for these two. If you are looking for unique wedding venues in Michigan, this one is such a gem. Tricia and Nehemiah leaned fully into a colorful, retro vibe, and I loved every single detail.

One of my favorite parts of the day was how they incorporated local vendors into their celebration and truly curated their reception space. The decor felt intentional, fun, and completely them. It was vibrant, creative, and unlike any other wedding, which is always my favorite kind.

And once the dance floor opened up, it stayed packed. DJ Vinny absolutely knew what he was doing, and the energy never dipped. It was the kind of night where you don’t want to leave because the joy in the room is just that contagious.

By the end of the night, it truly felt like I had gained two new friends. Tricia and Nehemiah, thank you so much for trusting me to document such a meaningful day in your lives. Your wedding was everything I love about Michigan weddings: full of heart, full of color, and completely unique.

I am so grateful to have been a part of it.
