Your Family Session...

Lifestyle family sessions take place in studio or on location. There’s less emphasis on the posed and more emphasis on the fun. We will spend the hour cuddling, dancing, reading books, and showcasing what makes your family unique. This session includes a 1 hour of photography, a gallery of 30-50 unique high resolution images available for download, and a print release. Prints and products are not included, but are available for purchase. A $100 non-refundable retainer holds your date and time and the rest is due the day of our session. Contact Keri for details on wardrobe and locations.

Family Photography Questions

If you want to sum it up in a couple of words, my work is most often categorized as lifestyle photography. I love authentic images that are filled with emotion. I love bright colors and warm sunshine. I seek out genuine moments. Most photos are lightly posed, meaning I’ll help get you into place first and then encourage interaction and real expressions while we’re snapping away.
Your proof gallery is posted 2 weeks after your session, and your finished image files are delivered 2 weeks after that (so the total turnaround time is 4 weeks).
Typically sessions take place either outdoors or in my studio. For outdoor sessions, I’m happy to provide location suggestions but
I have photographed weddings that were in the darkest of dark chapels and low lit reception halls so no need to worry! If the situation allows, I will set up additional lighting to ensure I get focused pictures. Some chapels do not allow for flash photography; and for that reason, the cameras I use all have great low-light performance and lenses with low apertures

All clients sign an optional model release before the session. If you would prefer to keep your images private, just let me know at that time. For clients who choose to decline the model release, I absolutely respect your decision and will keep your images completely private.
Absolutely. I’ve worked in clients’ homes, and I’ve never found one that didn’t work. Don’t worry about the mess — nothing fazes me! If needed, I’ll help you move furniture/clutter around as we go.
I enjoy coaching my clients through having their photos taken, and I have a lot of experience working with families and kids, ensuring everybody looks their best. Typically when you’re having a great time, it will all come naturally and you will see that in your photos.
Pinterest is best used as an initial source of inspiration, rather than a strict guideline. I wouldnt want to focus on recreating someone else’s photos, that will leave us less time to create shots that showcase the unique aspects of your family.
I can’t wait to work with you! Please send me a message here, and we’ll come up with a game plan for your session. After that, you’ll be able to sign your contract and submit your session deposit online. 50% is due upon booking to reserve your date, and the remainder is due on the day of your session
