One of the perks of being a wedding photographer is you get to see a lot of different venues. Typically the goal is to only get married once so the couples that do that only really see one wedding venue. So, its always a nice extra bonus to photoraph a couple at a new or completely different wedding venue. Detroit has so many to offer and I figured it would be easier to to list a few really good ones then try to list every single wedding venue.

Of course if you are getting married at one of these venues or any venue, contact me and we can discuss what you need and how I can help you on your big day.

Update:

So Google has some good reviews for this place but The Knots reviews are less than favorable. I will say that the venue itself has a very distinct look to it but in a good way. I cant speak for the service so take it how it is. Most improtantly I have absolutely no opinion on this venue as I am not going to be responsible for somebodies big day being ruined by a possibly sub-par venue.

The Jam Handy

I have not had the opportunity to photograph a wedding at The Jam Handy. I have heard about it through some social media mentions and I think I ran across a blog that mentioned it. The place looks very unique and would probably not be for every couple. There does not appear to be a website (There is a website if you consider one picture and an email address a website), no listing on The Knot and the Facebook page leaves a little to be desired. My guess is they do this in hopes of being seen as exclusive or spoke or something, not sure. So I can only say the place looks unique and would probably be a good place for a wedding reception based on what I have heard and the few photos I have seen.

Well there you go. a relatively short curated list of the best wedding venues in Detroit. Again, there are almost too many spots to actually list and everything is subjective and up to ones own interpretation. These venues worked for couples but you you have to pick a venue that works for you. Maybe you are into a more barn and rustic look?

No matter the venue one thing we can all agree on is having an experienced and professional photographer booked for your wedding. So, feel free to head on over to the contact page and we can get the conversation started.
